Stewardship

Stewardship.  What do you think when you hear the word?  A lot of people think of the fall annual drive for funds.  Ok, that's fair.  We do contribute to our church each year so that collectively, as a church community we can have the funds for taking care of our church, each other, and others less fortunate than we are.

The word stewardship means ‘caring for that which is not yours.'  It is not just about our money, but everything we care for:  our families, our pets, our environment, our work, our leisure, and ourselves...  The fact is, God makes us stewards and how we care for his creation defines the kind of steward we become.  Becoming the good steward is just one dimension of the Christian life of faith.

The tabs at the bottom of this page are resources for stewardship education and commitment in your church.  Additional help with year-round stewardship planning is offered by the Stewardship Commission.  Contact the Stewardship Director for more information:  cfabian@episcopaloklahoma.org.
